Hey :)

I’m Maritza (aka Ritz), a multi-disciplinary graphic designer and illustrator living in sunny Los Angeles ☀

I graduated from Syracuse University in 2014 with a BFA in painting. Despite my focus in painting and drawing I took a strong interest in graphic design during my senior year of college. After my graduation I spent days upon days researching graphic design, reading books about graphic design, and watching tons of YouTube tutorials about Adobe Illustrator and best design practices. Within a few months I was able to land my first big girl job as a junior designer at a social media and marketing agency in my old home that’s NYC.

I’ve designed captivating graphics for various corporations, stakeholders and clients for over 5 years. Whether it’s print or digital I know how to get the job done with smart design choices for layout, typography, color and style, in addition to top notch creative strategy/direction.

When I’m not straining my eyes on my laptop or iPad Pro, I’m in the kitchen attempting to cook Top Chef quality meals, going out on hikes and loooong walks around the neighborhood, playing with my cat Maple and finding new music to jam out to.
